Model 1885 Double Hook Slings

These three slings are characterized by there thin double hooks and the small holes in the sling to receive them. They were the first version of double hooked slings used on trapdoors and were introduced in 1885. Rifles and cadet rifles in the mid-1880's are found with this sling. In 1887, the thick double hooked sling was introduced and was issued through the end of the trapdoor era. These slings have not been cut and have RIA initials or stampings on them. $125 + S/H
