M84 Carbine, SN342796
This carbine was produced at Springfield in 1886, and has not been altered since it left the armory. The Buffington
rear sight is the first style with the small head on the windage bolt and the bluing under the M83 front sight cover
is minty new. the stock has a sharp SWP/1886 cartouche and the firng proof is also clearly seen. The stock has not been sanded
and is excellent.
The metal is in very good shape. The color case is gone from the tang and block,and the sling ring is missing.
Thr bore is clean and free of pitting.
The rifling depth is about .003" and sharp.
