This Model 1884 rifle is in excellent condition. It is one manufactured in 1885 that still exist in minty condition.
Finding an 1885 produced rifle is difficult, but finding one that has not seen service is very rare. I believe this is
the second one I have seen in over 20 years. Early production M84 rifles have the very sharp front sight blade and this
one also has the first style Buffington rear sight. The stock has a few scattered scratches, but it has not seen any
service. The bore appears perfect to pristine and VERY bright. The bluing is excellent and the color case has faded.
The firing proof is very sharp and clear. The metal is in very good condition and the
mechanics are excellent.
A VERY collectible Rifle!!
