M69 Cadet Rifle, SN2449
This is an M69 Cadet rifle in excellent condition. The stock has not been sanded
and it is very clean. The stock flats are sharp, the cartouche and boxed L firing proof
are clear and shape. The stock was made new for the rifle and the breech block is dated
1870. It has an M68 thumb piece and M68 rear sight. The cadet spent a large portion
of its life in a shipping crate since there is some metal damage where it resided in the
muzzle hole of the crate. Also, there is some darkening of the stock from being trapped
in the retaining blocks. The bore in this rifle is not as shiny as new, but it is very
nice with no pitting or dark spots.
A very collectible rifle. (Note: the stock has a scratch in it in the location of the
tang screw. It is not a crack.)
