Prairie Belts
This Prairie Belt has the
three mounting rings for the special bayonet scabbard made for this belt.
The alteration was made at Fort Abraham Lincoln around 1880.
Aside from the rings, it is identical to the Type I Prairie belt.
The tongue of the belt has WATERVLIET/ARSENAL and the inspector's stamp.
The tongue has not been cut and the number of cartridge loops is 54.
The belt has been oiled to protect it.
