1884 Carbine, SN342446
This 1884 carbine was produced in 1886 and has the SWP/1886 cartouche and
circled P firing proof. The front sight cover and M90 rear sight protector were
added during the Sp-Am War refurbishing. The carbine has a pristine bore which is
blindingly bright.
The stock has not been sanded or refinished, but there is a small sliver missing
under the lock plate. The carbine has the thick sling bar
and thin ring. Most of the bluing is off the barrel, but the metal sureface under
the front sight cover is very dark.
From the fit of the metal parts,
it appears the carbine has never been apart.
