M84 Carbine, SN341732
M84 Carbine, SN341732
This Carbine was produced at Springfield in 1886 and was updated for the Sp-Am War in 1898.
The M90 band is still on the gun, but the front sight cover has been removed and only a
few traces remain on the barrel to outline the cover. The bore is like new, being shiny with deep rifling.
However, the carbine was fired with a plugged barrel and it caused a slight swell in the bore at the
rear of the front sight. The carbine is quite shootable, but the accuracy will not be good.
The replacement stock has not been sanded or refinished and is in excellent condition. The metal is mostly
gray/brown in color from service. The breech block was reblued when the carbine was refurbished.
